How our rates are calculated

Your rates are calculated based on the information provided in the Online Rate Request. We can charge by the hour or as a flat price. We are a professional and legal cleaning service that complies with all California labor laws and legal business operations. This covers paid sick leave, liability insurance, payroll taxes, and worker compensation. We also offer competitive salaries and benefits to staff on paid vacations, holidays and bonuses. Rates are non-negotiable.

TIPPING

While not necessary, a gratuity is always appreciated for a job well done. There is a typical rule of rule of 10% to 15%.

If you are satisfied with the cleaning and choose to leave the tip, leave the tip at your home on the day of cleaning (separately from cleaning payments). HEALTH AND SAFETY

We are unable to remove bodily fluids, mold, human waste, pest (such as flea and rodent infestations), or pet waste for health and safety concerns. We can suggest a business that is prepared to deal with these circumstances. We will bypass the impacted rooms and charge the client less if we enter a home that needs this kind of cleaning. If this turns out to be a problem, we do want to be informed in early.

It is a common and recommended practice for cabinets and refrigerators to be empty or have the items removed before performing a deep cleaning. This is because removing the food and beverages allows you to reach all corners and surfaces, ensuring a thorough and efficient cleaning.

When cabinets and the refrigerator are full, it can be difficult to properly clean the spaces between the food, and there is also a risk of knocking over or damaging items during the cleaning process. Additionally, removing the food helps prevent food waste or potential contamination.

Therefore, it is a standard practice to request that clients remove items from cabinets and refrigerators before a deep cleaning. This ensures food safety and allows you to do a more effective job in cleaning these spaces.

We only go as high as a two-step ladder. If it involves cleaning and cobwebbing taller items, we do employ extension poles.

When cleaning, cleaning technicians must wear non-skid, closed-toe shoes. “Shoes off” homes are not eligible for our services.

To ensure the best quality of service, best rates, and safety of our staff, Innovation Cleaning Services uses only Company supplies and equipment.

3 STRIKE POLICY

We understand that life happens. Unexpected events may arise that you are unable prepare for. We have a policy in place that gives us some leeway because of this.

We don’t charge for appointment cancellations made with one working day’s notice. (THERE IS A $100 FEE FOR CANCELLATIONS WITH LESS THAN 24 HOURS NOTICE OF SCHEDULING)

In the event that this happens twice, there will be a 50% cancellation fee.

Should you fail to provide us with this notice three times, our services will be terminated.

 

This also holds true for lockouts, in which case we are unable to enter your house on the appointed day.

A coded business lockbox that may be mounted in a discrete area on the exterior of the residence is highly recommended, and we provide one free of charge. In this manner, incidents like misplaced keys, leaving the door unlocked, etc., would be avoided.

Before any service is provided, schedules are always verified via email. Please be aware that monthly cleanings occur every 4 weeks, and that there may occasionally be 2 cleanings in a given month based on how the schedule falls. We are unable to provide polite reminder calls, so please mark the cleaning appointment on your calendar.

ARRIVAL TIME

Cleaning service occurs between 8am- 7pm on your regularly scheduled day. We are unable to provide a specific arrive or leave time because the time required to clean each property varies.

CLEANING TECHS

After the First Time Clean, your home will typically be assigned to 1 or 2 Cleaning Techs. We are unable to guarantee the same Cleaning Tech for every appointment due to scheduling issues.

ARRIVAL DAY

Every attempt is made by Innovation Cleaning Services to always arrange for a prearranged day for our arrival at each cleaning. We will give you as much warning as we can if we have to reschedule for any reason, such as staff illness or unanticipated events.

ACCESS TO YOUR HOME

Before your first appointment, we will talk about the logistics of getting into your house. Customers typically give the business a duplicate of their house key, which saves them from having to wait around to let us in each time we visit or remember to leave out a hide-a-key (which also prevents lock out penalties). For the key, we will discreetly place a small, coded business lockbox on the outside of the house. Since we can’t guarantee the same Tech will visit each time, we are unable to retain a duplicate of the key.

PAYMENT

PayPal, Venmo, and all major payment methods are accepted. For continuous service, we offer the convenience of Venmo, Zelle, Check or credit / debit card.

GETTING READY FOR THE CLEANING

While you should “pick up” as much as you can in the places you want us to clean, don’t “clean” before we arrive. This will enable us to provide you more attention to quality and detail. We will not clean very crowded areas (countertops, shelving, etc.) to prevent potential breaking.

THE SETTING

We ask that everyone leave the house while we clean it. In this manner, we can provide the best rate while operating with maximum efficiency. We acknowledge that this might not always be feasible, but it should nonetheless be explored before establishing service.

We wouldn’t be able to run the vacuum cleaner during a client’s conference calls from their home office, for instance, so we would have to schedule our cleaning appointments around that.

Alternatively, if a child is present, we should schedule cleaning sessions to coincide with their naps, etc.

PETS

We love them! However, if your pet poses a risk, please secure it. Furthermore, we don’t clean up after accidents or sick pets.

BREAKAGE

It’s bound to happen sometimes. We make every effort to avoid it, and good communication is essential.

1. There are instances where “booby traps” cause breaking. Those are just waiting to happen mishaps. We frequently handle goods that aren’t typically handled, such as loosely hanging pictures (like those held up with thumb tacks), large objects on top of shaky bases, and tippy, unsteady objects. Every incidence is examined separately for each one. “Booby traps” are not our responsibility. Please transfer any breakable items that are unstable to an area that we don’t clean (we don’t clean inside china cabinets, curios, or shelves with clear wet barware).

2. If the worth of each broken item can be verified, we will pay up to $100 per item. Our insurance carrier will need to start a Liability Insurance Claim and Investigation if the damage is valued at more than $100.

3.In certain instances, we will hire a reputable restoration business to fix the damaged item. Before replacement or reimbursement is approved, breakage values greater than $25 must be confirmed. Kindly hold onto the damaged item so we can examine it. Reporting of breakage is required within 30 days after finding.

I accept accountability for my staff members’ conduct as the owner of Innovation Cleaning Services. Our rules are made to reduce the likelihood of problems. To provide the most equitable resolution possible, I will personally examine any unresolved issue.
